Time's Top 10 Worst Movies of 2012

Time Magazine has sacrificed itself and apparently watched at least 10 really bad movies this year. All of them had their premieres in our part of Europe, but almost all are doomed to be rather DVD or P-P-V hits. What is kind of interesting, is that those movies star some of really good actors who have lost their way at some point, or just have bad advisors. It's hard for me to judge, since I haven't seen most of these features, and now I probably never will. Nevertheless, if a friend wants you go go to the movies, consult the list beforehand, for your own good. Full list here.

10. "One for the Money"
Who's in there: Katherine Heigl, Jason O'Mara.
Why? Well it seems that the producers in all their wisdom thought that if a book is pretty successful, there can also be a decent film made out of it. One mistake: Janet Evanovich's book wasn't that good either.

 9. "The Odd Life of Timothy Green"
Who's in there: Jennifer Garner, Joel Edgerton.
Why? Garner needs to make money, since Ben Affleck, her hubby, has gotten himself a new job of making really good, but low-budget and not-box-office-hit movie ("Argo").
8. "What to Expect When You're Expecting"
Who's there: Cameron Diaz, Jennifer Lopez (now you know), Anna Kendrick, Rodrigo Santoro, Dennis Quaid, Chris Rock.
Why? Jennifer Lopez.
7. "Alex Cross"
Who'e there: Tayler Perry, Matthew Fox
Why? Maybe we just weren't prepared for that side of Matthew "Lost" Fox.
6. "The Lorax"
Who's there: Zac Efron, Taylor Swift, Danny DeVito
Why? It's just that apparently Dr. Seuss' stories are not made for the big screen.

5. "This Means War"
Who's there: Reese Witherspoon, Tom Hardy (oh why?), Chris Pine.
Why? Don't know what went wrong, but it usually does when the director calls himself McG.
4. "Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter"
Who's there: Benjamin Walker, Rufus Sewell, Dominic Cooper.
Why? I mean come on. Abraham Lincoln AND vampires? That couldn't go WELL.
3. "Hyde Park on Hudson"
Who's there: Bill Murray, Laura Linney, OliviaWilliams.
Why? That I don't understand. I actually heard it's pretty good. Am definitely going to see for myself.
2. "John Carter"
Who's there: Taylor Kitsch, Lynn Collins, Willem Dafoe
Why? Too big, too futuristic, too everything.
1. "Cloud Atlas"
Who's there: Tom Hanks, Halle Berry, Hugh Grant.
Why: unbelievable, the film had all the potential there is. The book by David Mitchell, Tom Hanks, the Wachowskis behind the camera... seriously. But I hear, there are some people who actually really like it.
