Bakery: Cheesecake with Peaches

This time something relatively sweet and delicate. Perfect for a party or casual family meeting. Easy and relatively quick to make, delicious and soft. Out of the proportions from the recipe I used (available in Polish here, in English it might be something like this, but one has to bear in mind that the cheese I use is curd cheese, which is different from cream cheese. Also the recipe in English is without the upper topping, which I made). The preparation of cheesecake layers in short goes like this: crust, cheese, peaches (sliced), soft meringue (made with egg whites and sugar), and upper crust. Baked for 1 hour, it is a delicious all-time favorite dessert. Enjoy!

Bakery: Vanilla Cheesecake

This delicious cheesecake is also one of the easiest ones. Most of the ingredients only require mechanical activities, like blending or mixing. You don't need to separate egg whites from yolk, or beat the whites to make the cheese puffy. The cheese layer is rather liquid, due to the addition of double cream. But even if it is really liquid, after the baking process, it is as solid as any other cheesecake. One more remark, in the original recipe from Moje Wypieki there is just 450 g of curd cheese. That is far too little for my taste, and so I doubled the amount of all ingredients (remembering to double the baking time as well, it was about 1 hour 20 minutes). Also, because I don't have the required vanilla extract, I used sugar with real vanilla in it instead. It was perfect. English version of the recipe here by Jennie Shapter, who took it from Gordon Ramsay apparently - yay! Gordon's here!

Bakery: Poppyseed Cheesecake

Two in one, it is! Poppy yeast cake is one of the symbols of Polish Christmas season. Cheesecakes as well, although traditionally they were baked more often in the time of Easter. This time a noble delicious mix. Not very easy to make, I must admit, especially if you attempt to grind the poppy yourself, that might prove to be a rather tiresome and time-consuming task. But believe me - home-ground poppy makes all the difference. The lower layer of the cake is shortcake, then the poppy layer (poppy, raisins, nuts, honey, powdered sugar, eggs - separately, perhaps some orange peel, some butter) and then the cheese layer (cheese, eggs - separately, powdered sugar, butter) and you're good to go. The effect - extremely tasty if you're in for that sort of thing. If you've got some experience, that's a cake for you to bake! Satisfaction guaranteed. And so is the effect. Delicious!
For the recipe, in Polish go here, in English it would have to be something like this.

Walnut Cheesecake

The first cheesecake this fall season, and a full success! This is not my first attempt with the walnut cheesecake though. Actually it already is one of my all-time favorites! Tastes delicious, the nutty flavor and crushed cookie bottom make a perfect addition to the cottage cheese layer. The cheese has a caramel color due to the use of brown sugar. Lovely! The original recipe from my favorite baking blog, in Polish here, and in English here.
