Watching New "Hannibal"

As the news broke that there was going to be a new version of "the adventures of Hannibal Lecter" (if you can even call it that way), I was interested, but that too much. There are so many great TV shows nowadays, that I hardly have enough time to get in touch and watch the premiere episodes.
But, when next news spread, that the new Hannibal was going to be Mads Mikkelsen, I waited impatiently on the verge of collapsing. Me being fond of Mikkelsen is not enough said, that's for sure. Just recently he has had so many great roles in such wonderful films, like "The Hunt" or "The Royal Affair" that a full TV show seemed almost too much.

Golden Globes 2013 Nominees

On December 13th 2012, exactly a month before the award ceremony, the nominees for the 2013 Golden Globes have been announced. The dates are important here, because the final ceremony will take place just two days before the nominees for Academy Awards are revealed.
Who has biggest chances of winning this year?
It seems that over the years the "who-got-the-most-nominations-must-be-likely-to-get-the-most-awards" predictor has lost its impact and importance. Nevertheless, Hollywood loves Steven Spielberg, and Daniel Day-Lewis as well, and when they both tell the story of one of the most beloved yet controversial politicians and presidents in the history of the United States - Abraham Lincoln, these 7 nominations seem like a good score. "Argo" and "Django Unchained" are close behind, with 5 nominations each, but it seems, that "Zero Dark Thirty" with 4 nominations (along "Les Miserables" and "Silver Linings Playbook") might end up as a dark horse of the race.

The new Hannibal - Mikkelsen on NBC

A few months ago the news electrified the fans of the famous Dane - Mads Mikkelsen and of Hannibal Lecter. Mikkelsen will be the next Hannnibal in an NBC television production entitled simply "Hannibal". This can be a crucial twist to the known story from "The Silence of Lambs" (1992). The movie was awarded 5 most important Oscars, and so 20 years later the serial cannot disappoint. And it is not likely to! With such a cast, that includes also Laurence Fishbourne and Hugh Dancy it might be a hit!

Emmy 2012 Winners & Losers

This year's Emmy awards have already found new owners, and some say that they are not surprised at all by the look of the winners' list. To me it however comes as a surprise that neither "Mad Men" nor "Game of Thrones" won anything, although those two shows were hailed as "the very best of the best" from the day of their premieres. Maybe that's because I haven't seen "Homeland" yet. For the second year in the run, one of the best American drama series. But, the award for Maggie Smith for her role in "Downton Abbey" should be enjoyed, an award well deserved. A good thing, that at least "Modern Family" left the glitz of Emmys with a nod, it wouldn't make any sense if it were different.
Since the outcome of the ceremony could be disappointing for some, at least have a quick look at the most glamorous outfits that the stars and celebrities sported for the night. It seems that bright yellow is so very on!

Game of Thrones season 3 premiere...

... is scheduled for March 31st, 2013. That means a long wait, but I'm sure it'll be worth it! There will be over thirteen new characters, with Ciaran Hinds, Thomas Brodie (the little Liam Neeson's kid in "Love Actually," but he's kind of grown up now), Tobias Menzies (Brutus from "Rome") and Mackenzie Crook (hard to forget after "Pirates of the Caribbean).

Emmy 2012

The Emmys are almost here, there will be two award ceremonies, one on September 15th 2012 - technical categories, the other, vanity fair, gowns and famous people - on September 23rd 2012. Watch out for the winners in Best Drama, nominees include "Mad Men," "Downton Abbey," "Boardwalk Empire," "Game of Thrones," "Breaking Bad" and "Homeland"... Tough choice, I couldn't decide. Best comedy should be a bit easier, I would vote for "Modern Family" and "Big Bang Theory."
